Remember when the VMAs were actually cool?
In honor of this year's VMAs, I am doing a special "Greatest Scenes" series from VMA's glorious past!
Back in 1998, Mariah and Whitney played with their rumored feud when they presented the Best Male Video award. They came out in matching brown dresses, and then proceeded to outdo each other in the "pulling parts off" contest. What you unfortunately don't see in the video is when that happens. The best part was when Mariah pulled off the fabric to reveal her world-famous legs with the instantly quotable line "Try it on me"! Sorry, Whit, but Mariah got you beat on this one!
