iPhone OS 4 To Be Unveiled On THURSDAY!

iPhone, iPod Touch, and possibly iPad, enthusiasts rejoice!

The new version of the highly successful iPhone operating system, iPhone OS 4, will be announced at 1pm EST on Thursday. As in this week Thursday.

Rumors surrounding iPhone OS 4 have been fluttering about since before the announcement of the iPad in January. The most expected and hoped-for implementation in the new operating system is multitasking, which has been sorely missing in the iPhone and the iPad (for which there is significant criticism). Rumors have suggested that there will be an Expose-like system for multitasking, which would be pretty awesome looking (especially on the iPad). Another addition will hopefully involve greater customization of the iPhone/iPod touch interface (it's cool and all, but would it kill them to all changes to the background?).
