She's back!
Pop star Britney Spears has officially reclaimed her throne, thanks to first week sales of over 500,000 copies.
Her newest album, Circus, is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200, the first time she's done that since 2003. Originally expected to sell 300,000 copies, the building data showed that Britney was well on her way to exceeding expectations. Now, she has one of the best first-week sales of the year.
Her last album Blackout sold 290,000 copies in its first week, a little more than half of its successor. The album quickly fell out of the chart and was deemed a commercial failure, despite rave reviews.
