Almost like a middle finger to the Grammy, music industry magazine Billboard, responsible for the Billboard Hot 100, have declared British pop star Leona Lewis the #1 Top New Artist of 2008.The Brit diva kept Jordin Sparks, Flo Rida, Katy Perry, and OneRepublic from the top of the year-end list, all of which rounded out the Top 5 respectively. Her success is thanks in part to her debut album Spirit and her megasmash "Bleeding Love", which is the biggest seller of the year.
The news comes after Leona's shocking snub from the Best New Artist category at this year's Grammys. It should be noted that only one nominee (Duffy) is in the Top 10 of the list.
One of the lists have to be wrong, right?
