BGT Judge Amanda Holden Co-Hosts CBS Early Show

Susan Boyle isn't the only one making waves here in the States from across the pond.

The gorgeous Amanda Holden was invited by CBS to co-host The Early Show yesterday morning, joining Harry Smith and Maggie Rodriguez in New York. The glamorous judge talked Susan Boyle, summer shoes, and British food classic fish and chips. UK tabloids reported her appearances on the show months ago, and they suggested that her appearance was a screen test of sorts, and that she could possibly become a permanent co-host on the program.

If she does get a co-hosting gig in America, she wouldn't be the first. Fellow judge Piers Morgan, who has become a chat show staple throughout the Susan Boyle media frenzy, is a judge on America's Got Talent. Then, of course, there is Simon Cowell.

BGT Shock: Diversity Trumps Susan Boyle and Wins!

In a decision that will surely make headlines everywhere, dance group Diversity have won Britain's Got Talent, upsetting season-long favorite Susan Boyle, who came in second place.

Both acts appeared in the first episode, but Susan's audition turned her into a global internet sensation, gathering over 100 million views on YouTube alone. Her success on the Web garnered her tons of global press attention, culminating in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, in the past week, the attention seemed to be getting to the 48 year-old spinster from Scotland. Boyle reported suffered two meltdowns prior to today's final, causing her to move from the London hotel where all the contestants were staying to another location. Tonight, she performed a reprisal of "I Dreamed a Dream", the song that made her a star.

Diversity, the second dance-related act to win BGT after George Sampson last year, will receive $159,000 and a performance slot at the Royal Variety Performance, with the Queen in attendance.

My Favorites From Britain’s Got Talent (So Far)

Thanks to Britain’s Got Talent posting their own YouTube videos up without embed block, I can now post videos from my favorite BGT contestants up!

First off, there is Shaheen Jafargholi, a young Welsh boy who nearly got his dreams dashed when Simon Cowell stopped him a few seconds into his first performance of “Valerie”. He then stunned the crowd with an excellent version of Motown classic “Who’s Lovin’ You”.

Then, there is the newest kid sensation, who performed this past week. Hollie Steel, a 10-year old ballerina, started off dancing, but it was her spectacular voice that was the most memorable of the performance.

It’s performances like these that make me wonder why Simon has put together a British version of “America’s Next Best Dance Crew”. This group is called Flawless (which they are).

This next performer, Fabia Cerra, could teach some of the young ones a thing or five about striptease (I have NEVER seen a full-figured woman do a split EVER IN MY LIFE). By the way, since the Union Jacks are covering her, she is wearing nipple tassels.

Then finally, of course, the woman who needs no introduction, Susan Boyle.
