BWU Singles Chart Roundup 8/30: Four Weeks at #1 For Kylie

THIS WEEK'S #1
Kylie Minogue - Get Outta My Way

Kylie Minogue has broken her own chart record.

File:HurtsWonderfulLife.jpgThe pop star's second single "Get Outta My Way" has spent a fourth week atop the BWU Singles Chart this week, setting a new record for the longest stay at #1. Kylie set the record of three weeks with "All The Lovers" in July. She remains on top despite a new influx of top 10 entries. British pop group Hurts enters at #2 with "Wonderful Life" (ironically, Kylie duets with them on their upcoming album). Chris Brown storms into the chart at #3 with "Deuces". Train's "If It's Love" (#7) and Alesha Dixon's "Drummer Boy" (#9) both see Top 10 debuts.

Despite a huge #2 debut, Fantasia's "Bittersweet" falls out of the Top 10, down to #11, as does "Love The Way You Lie" (#12), and "Hang With Me" (#14). Finally breaking into the Top 20 is Drake's new single "Miss Me", up to #16. Kanye shoots up to #13 with "Power", and Daughtry sees a ten spot climb up to #19 with "September".

Four of the six songs with twelve weeks on the chart are out of the Top 20 this week. Katy Perry's "California Gurls" (#22) just misses a Gold certification, reaching 299 points. Nicki Minaj's "Your Love" (#4) surpasses her to score the third Gold certification with 314 points this week.
