After the relative failure of their last album Wordshaker, Britain's hottest girl group The Saturdays have returned to the studio to release a new effort, an EP titled Headlines.
The lead single from Headlines is "Missing You", which is to be released in early August. While the song doesn't break any new pop ground, like their amazing single "Up", it is a perfectly god synthpop ballad, with an irresistible chorus with one of the best simple pop lyrics of the year, "I miss missing you sometimes". While some may regard the song as way too weak to push their new record, it is a huge step forward from the disaster that was "Forever Is Over" (which is also featured on the EP, for some inexplicable reason).
