Song Review: P!nk's "So What"

Summer music just got a swift kick in the ass.

And who better to deliver it than Pink? Pop/rock's queen is back with her new single "So What", the first off of her yet-to-be-titled album. When news of the record came out, people were frantic to hear the new track, courtesy of the woman who gave us last year's amazing "U + Ur Hand" and "Who Knew". Fans of those two will definitely not disappointed.

"So What" is an anthem for the lovers of the middle finger, with the "I don't give a damn" lyrics and the edgy arrangement. It's something that you can blast from your stereo (or computer, or car, depending) and sing along to whenever you feel like punching someone in the face.

The lyrics are classic Pink, singing about not caring and just having fun. She still pokes fun at her favorite celebrities ("The waiter just took my table, and gave it to Jessica Simps, shit") and even her husband (which I'm sure is just in fun). The chorus is pop headbanging, fist shaking genius, perfect for summer.

Pop radio, in its obsession with pop and rock fusion, will simply eat this song up, along with the rest of the country. While kissing girls is fun and all, sometimes we just to yell "so what" and "start a fight".

Oh, and Pink farting at the end of the song is just badass.
