Here is this week's Best and Worst of the Top 9
Best:
David Cook - Once again, he was able to take a song that isn't in his preferred genre and tweak it to his style. I thought it a great song that really showed the versatility of his voice.
David Archuleta - I thought it his most vocally challenging performance to date. He stretched his voice to hit those high notes, and he delivered, as usual. It wasn't brilliant, but it easily the best of the night.
Syesha Mercado - She was INSANE to sing this song. Its the ultimate diva song. Its THE song NOT to sing. Yet, she had the best female vocal of the night. Unfortunately for her, when compared to the great Whitney, it doesn't even measure up halfway
Michael Johns - He has delivered two back-to-back great performances, finally proving that the early buzz about him was correct.
Carly Smithson - It was definitely her best performance. She sang very well, jazzing up a normally simple melody. I liked it.
Worst/Or Simply Okay:
Ramiele Mulabay - She's gaining more confidence in her performance, but it may be a little too late for her. It was just a good performance, nothing special
Brooke White - Brooke was definitely off tonight. Her performance lacked the conviction it usually does, allowing her only to deliver an okay performance
Jason Castro - I liked this performance, but it goes down here because it pales to the others. I give him points for putting more into the vocal, but as I predicted, Castro is losing some steam.
Kristy Lee Cook - Seriously, she's boring as muck. It was fine, vocally. But there was nothing there, as usual. She should've chosen some kind of patriotic song like she did last week.
Bottom Three: Kristy, Ramiele, Jason
