Today will be known as a day of tragedy in pop culture.
This morning, 70's icon Farrah Fawcett, star of TV show Charlie's Angels, died at the age of 62. Fawcett was suffering from anal cancer since 2006. Beside her was Ryan O'Neal, her longtime partner she intended to marry.
Last month, NBC aired a documentary on the beauty's remarkable fight against cancer, which drew millions of viewers.
As well as Charlie's Angels, Farrah Fawcett was well-known for a 1970s pin-up poster than sold 12 million copies. After she left the series, she took on more serious roles, like a battered wife in The Burning Bed, the role that scored her an Emmy nomination.
May she rest in peace.
