It’s Time For a New Girls Aloud B-Side!

File:GA Untouchable.jpgWith the official release of Girls Aloud’s 21st single this Monday comes the highly anticipated b-side.

You see, along with great single, the British girl group have an amazing ability to deliver some hot b-sides that make you wonder why they weren’t on the album in the first place

Now, with news that the girls are taking time off to focus on solo projects, the b-side for “Untouchable” is even more important, since this is the last new music we will hear from together until next year. So of course, the expectations are pretty high (especially after Download of the Day “Hoxton Heroes”).

And of course, the expectations are met. Switching things up, the girls have ditched the mellow, glittery disco of “Memory of You” and returned to the energy-filled electro stomp that see them at their feistiest. Everything about this song is great. The vocals (although annoyingly vocoded) are very sexy, the chorus is perfectly catchy and perfectly pop, and the rock-edged production is ace. Yet, it is the synthed-out bit after the chorus that will really light a fire under people and get them dancing.

So, add this with “Models”, “Blow Your Cover”, “Memory of You”, “Hoxton”, “She”, um, seriously, why aren’t these songs on the album?

The “Untouchable” single release is tomorrow. “It’s Your Dynamite” is on the CD single, so don’t forget to check that out.
