Get Into This: Y.B.'s Black History and The Obama Deception

Rapper Y.B. tells the truth in
new music video for
"Black History/The Obama Deception"
I am very proud to say that I went to high school with this kid.

Y.B. (known by me as Kenny Junot) just released the dual music video for his singles "Black History" and "The Obama Deception", and they are both amazing. In the two songs he raps about the history of African Americans and takes Obama to task for not fulfilling his promises to the people. It takes some real balls to lay the truth out there for people who may not be ready to here it, and he's done it with real style. The last rap song I've heard that was this honest about black culture was Nas and his hit "I Can".

The video itself, directed and edited by Ben Adler, makes some of the videos on 106 & Park look like they were filmed with the iPad 2's crap camera. Stylish, sleek, and real, you NEED to get into this up-and-comer. I believe he is really going places, and I'm usually right about these things. Hell, I called Lady Gaga, right?

His mixtape, "Not Your Average Bear", is out now here: http://hulkshare.com/04stw8z0upgw

Check out the video and let me know your thoughts (keep up the great work, Kenny!)
