BWU Singles Chart Roundup (11/24): Rihanna Holds MJ From #1

Rihanna bests Michael Jackson to #1!
Rihanna's continued chart dominance has even deterred the King of Pop.

The pop princess held on to the #1 spot of the BWU Singles Chart for a second week, keeping Michael Jackson's new single "Hold My Hand" from a #1 debut. The Akon-assisted track, lifted from his upcoming album Michael, debuts at #2, tying Chris Brown for the highest debut by a male artist. Michael was able to push Rihanna's other #1 single "Only Girl (In The World) down to #3. Taylor Swift's new single "Back to December" splashes onto the chart at #4, highly outpeaking her first single "Mine". Also debuting in the top 10 is Irish boyband Westlife, who enter in at #6 with "Safe". French DJ David Guetta pushes into the Top 10 with his Kid Cudi featuring single "Memories" at #7, while his song with Rihanna, "Who's That Chick", debuts at #16. Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, and Take That all hold on to their spots from last week.

After unprecedented chart dominance that lasted over four month, Kylie finally slips out of the Top 10 with "Get Outta My Way", falling to #12. However, the song, with 589 points, is incredibly close to becoming the first platinum single. Her third single, "Better Than Today", slips down to #18. Cheryl Cole also leaves the top 10, falling from #4 to #11. The biggest drop belongs to Shakira, plummeting from #13 down to #30
