Cheryl Cole is #1 for a second week |
The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge climbs up from #10 to the top with her new single "Promise This". The song previously hit #1 in its second week, but fell to Kylie Minogue's "Get Outta My Way". The song is in its sixth week on the chart. Cole kept Chris Brown and his new single "Yeah 3X" from #1 this week, forcing it to settle for #2. Last week's #1, Willow's "Whip My Hair", slips to #5.
Rihanna scores a top 5 double, as "Only Girl (In The World)" and "What's My Name" chart at #3 and #4 respectively. In its sixteenth week on the chart, "Get Outta My Way" spends its first outside out of the Top 5, falling to #7. Ahead of it is Ke$ha's new single "We R Who We R", debuting at #6. Katy Perry's "Firework" and Duffy's "Well, Well, Well" take tumbles to #8 and #9 respectively. Ahead of her album's re-release, Alexandra Burke sees her new single "The Silence" debut at #10.
With Robbie and Gary's duet "Shame" gone from the chart this week, Take That score a place at #13 with "The Flood" their first single from their new album, Progress. Kylie scores her third chart entry with upcoming single "Better Than Today", entering at #16. Nicki Minaj and "Right Thru Me" benefits from a chart boost up to #14, thanks to her music video release. Also rebounding is Trey Songz' "Bottoms Up, up to #18.
Despite having the highest chart re-entry, Enrique Iglesias saw a huge drop to #26. Bruno Mars also dropped down to #30 from his peak of #12.
