Apple's Going to Verizon...with the iPad!

AT&T haters rejoice!

Verizon, one of the biggest cell phone services in the country, has announced that they will be bundling the iPad with their MiFi product starting on October 28th. The move ends the four-year exclusivity that Apple had with AT&T, which will also begin carrying the iPad in their retail stores.

Verizon, who claim to have the most reliable 3G network in the country, will only be carrying the WiFi iPad, but they will include the MiFi Mobile Hotspot device with it. The MiFi accesses Verizon's 3G network to create a mobile hotspot, allowing for online access anywhere with the right device. To use the MiFi, a data plan, which starts at $20 a month for 1 GB of data, is necessary. Essentially, it works like a 3G iPad, and is priced like one too. The 16 GB iPad will start at $629.

Verizon selling the iPad will undoubtedly fans the flames surrounding the rumored-yet-anticipated Verizon iPhone. The New York Times confirmed this past week of an upcoming iPhone for the company being released early next year, and previous reports have claimed that CMDA chips (used by Verizon) was being produced for Apple.

It seems like Verizon lovers (and AT&T sufferers) will finally get their prayers answered, somewhat.
