Katy Perry has scored her first #1 single on the BWU Singles Chart.
The pop star, whose album Teenage Dream is to be released on the 24th, topped this week's chart with the album's title track. The song debuted at #2 last week behind rapper Nicki Minaj's "Your Love", which falls to #2. Katy Perry's first single "California Gurls" is at #13, becoming the third single to break the 200 point mark.
There are no new entries in the Top 10, with little movement. Robyn's "Hang With Me" hits a new peak of #4, while Brandon Flowers' "Crossfire" moves up to #8. Usher, The Saturdays, and Shakira remain where they were last week. The highest debut of the week comes from Paramore's "The Only Exception" at #23.
Maroon 5's "Misery" and B.O.B's "Airplanes" re-enter the chart at #19 and #20 respectively.
Speaking of Usher, his new single "Hot Toddy" comes into the chart at #29. The single is his fourth chart entry, after "DJ", "OMG", and "There Goes My Baby", making him the artist with the most chart entries. That noted, only two has broken into the Top 20.
