Download of the Day 5/15: "All The Lovers" by Kylie Minogue

If this song isn't a hit in America, I swear I'm moving to Europe after college.

For weeks now, the pop music world has been waiting with bated breath for Kylie Minogue's new single "All The Lovers", off of her 11th studio album Aphrodite. Yesterday, Miss Minogue dropped it off at BBC Radio 1 for its first official play.

And everyone proceeded to lose their shit.

"All The Lovers" is a truly spectacular track, one of the best Kylie has ever recorded. Building off the back of 2005's "I Believe In You", the single is a mixture of sadness, seduction, euphoria, and high danceability, which is what a Kylie song is really about. It also has her most identifiable hook since "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Then there is the spectacular breakdown that she teased us with last month, which makes a lot more sense in context of the song.

This song screams "worldwide smash", and if US radio can't get down with this (but somehow can find love for Ke$ha), then there is simply no hope for pop music in the States.

Even if it doesn't make a dent on the charts, who cares? Proper Kylie is back with the song of the summer (sorry Katy)!
