You've Gotta Be Kidding Me: NYC MTA to Make Standing Only Train Cars!

Are they serious?

The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), which controls the one of the largest mass transits systems in the world in New York City, has revealed plans to implement standing-only train cars during rush hour, to allow more people on the train.

The Daily News reported that a portion of the train will have these cars, which still have seats for regular use. However, during rush hour, the seats will be folded and locked, in an attempt to fit more people on the train.

Um, DUMBEST IDEA EVER!

The biggest problem with the subway is the overcrowding. Please, the 6 train at 9 am can be an utter nightmare, and there are seats available. Imagine being on a train with no seats, everyone crammed into a car. There could be oxygen issues, pushing and shoving, B.O., and more pickpocketing.

No wonder the MTA is so deep in the red! They're idiots!

The test run begins in the next few months, although the lines have yet to be selected.

As long as the E and 6 trains are left alone, there won't be a problem.

First the fare hikes, now this. Push us any further MTA, us New Yorkers may end up walking to work or school!
