Mariah Performs "Side Effects" on Jimmy Kimmel

I preface this by saying I am a HUGE Mariah fan.

That said, this performance blew.

First off, it sounded like she was lipsyncing through 3/4 of the whole song. The only time it seemed like she wasn't was at the end. Even if she wasn't, that had to be one of the most boring Mariah vocals ever. For such a personal (and a bit angry) song like "Side Effects", she sang it as if it was nothing. No vocal inflections. No truly powerful moments. Nothing. It sounds just like it does on the album, but a bit worse.

When I am paying more attention to Young Jeezy at a Mariah performance, there is a SERIOUS problem!

What is going on with Mariah? Sick? Exhaustion? Something has to explain these (quite frankly) lackluster performances from this album era.
