Jordin Spark's career has been in an upswing ever since "No Air" became her biggest hit to date (you decided whether it was all Chris Brown), so a lot of eyes are on what will follow up the smash.

What does is "One Step at a Time", which is as completely opposite of "No Air" as you can get. Where "No Air" was heavily R&B-influenced (because of Chris Brown, I guess), "One Step" is a huge slice of pop. The deep, desperate lyrics in "No Air" are replaced with safe, "you can do it" words of sentiment in "One Step".
I haven't listened to her album, but it almost seems like "No Air" was an accident, because "One Step" is a lot like her second single "Tattoo". The sound is simplistic and the lyrics are non-threatening. It is also ridiculously listenable.
I wouldn't be surprised if radio ate this song up. It may not be ground-breaking, but Jordin is pretty damn good at making a good pop song.
If only she made another "No Air".
