One of my favorite artists, Leona Lewis, is finally getting the US success she deserves!
In case you don't know, Leona Lewis was a contestant's on Britain's version of American Idol, the X-Factor. She won the show, and her first single broke the world download record when her version of "A Moment Like This" sold 50,000 copies in a 1/2 hour! Her second single, Bleeding Love, was on the top of the UK Charts for seven weeks, and has topped the charts in over 20 countries so far. Her debut album Spirit, is the best-selling debut of all time in the UK. She has just recently begun getting interest here in America, with important radio stations like Z100 playing her while her song inched up the iTunes Top 100.
Just today, she moved past Janet Jackson's Feedback to officially enter the Top 10 (after being held back by Jeff Buckley's skyrocket earlier last week).
Congrats Leona!
If you haven't already, go to iTunes and download her song "Bleeding Love"! It should be #1!
Also, she's going to be on Oprah next week, which will definitely help!
