Chris Brown Attacks B2K's Raz B with Gay Slurs On Twitter

Chris Brown goes in on Raz B on Twitter,
but were Brown's insults
 about his sexuality too much?

R&B singer Chris Brown and former B2K member Raz B were embroiled in a war of words on Twitter this afternoon.

Actually, it was more of a gunshot from Raz B and nuclear missiles from Chris Brown.

Raz B was inexplicably tweeting Rihanna multiple times, trying to seduce her. Amongst those tweets was one where he accused her ex-boyfriend and batterer Chris Brown of disrespecting her. While his tweets have me questioning his mental stability, I don't think they were anything too horrible, although a bit rude and unnecessary.

Clearly, Chris disagreed with my take.

So, what exactly did he say? Check out all the tweets after the jump:


The singer, who still rehabilitating his career after the Rihanna assault from last year, tweeted pretty harshly in response. His responses primarily attacked Raz B's sexuality, calling him a "homothug". One of the most vicious tweets Brown sent was about Raz B's alleged sexual abuse at the hands of Criss Stokes years ago:

Tell me this @razb2k!! Why when the money was coming in u won't complaining about getting butplugged! #homothug!!!

After he made the tweets, Chris Brown defended them and almost immediately brushed off claims of homophobia on his part.

I'm not homophobic! He's just disrespectful!!! 

To make things worse, or all the more ridiculous, Omarion and producer Polow da Don both put in their two cents, joking about Brown's gay jokes at Raz B.

Seriously, where is Chris Brown's publicist? Either he needs to get one to monitor his tweets or stop using Twitter, because once again, he took it too far. While Raz B really had no reason to say what he said, what was the point of taking it to that level? And what was the point of going after his sexuality? it was childish, mean, and offensive, particularly to his fans who are gay. He may not realize it, but he has influence as a pop star. With the recent gay teen suicides, the bullying crisis, and the successful "It Gets Better" campaign all in mind, his tweets are downright irresponsible.

What's particular troubling is Chris' references to the sexual abuse allegations. While there are certainly suspect things regarding the allegations, they should still be taken seriously, because if they are true, Chris is a complete and utter asshole.

For someone who is slowly but surely getting his career back, it was utter stupidity for Chris to respond it all. And considering how offensive his responses were, he just took a big risk and will probably face some considerable media and fan backlash. This is just another case of Brown being the big bully, something that could have and should have been avoided.
