Alexandra Burke, who won the UK talent show in 2008, has skyrocketed to the top of the BWU Singles Chart with her new single "The Silence". The power ballad, which was remixed for the re-release of her debut album Overcome, moves up to the top from #16. David Guetta and Rihanna made the same jump with "Who's That Chick" last week, now down to #3. Meanwhile, last year's X Factor winner Joe McElderry moves up two spots to #5 with "Someone Wake Me Up", his second single from debut LP Wide Awake.
Keri Hilson is forced to settle for #2 with her single "Pretty Girl Rock", up from #6. Taio Cruz's duet with Kylie Minogue, "Higher", moves into the top 10, landing at #7. Enrique Iglesias scores his third top 10 hit with "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)", jumping from #19 to #10.
The highest and only debut of the week occurs just outside of the top 10. Adele's comeback single "Rolling in the Deep" enters in at #11. Bruno Mars re-enters the the chart at #19 with second single "Grenade".
