BWU Singles Chart Roundup 8/10: Kylie's Still #1 Amidst Fantasia and Nelly Debuts

I'm going back to college this weekend, so to maintain consistency, I have pushed the publishing of next week's chart (8/22) to today (Friday 8/20). Barring any major schedule issues, the chart will continue to be published on Sunday evening.

This week sees the BWU Singles Chart in serious upheaval, but despite the chaos, Kylie still remains the champ.

The Aussie diva remains at #1 with "Get Outta My Way", notching a second consecutive, and third overall, week at the top of the chart. "Get Outta My Way" is now tied with Kylie's first #1 "All The Lovers" for most weeks at #1. Her continued chart reign prevented Fantasia for scoring a #1 debut with her new single "Bittersweet", which comes in at #2. Right behind her is rapper Nelly, who's at #3 with new single "Just a Dream". Also debuting this week are Janelle Monáe's "Cold War" (#13) and Daughtry's "September" (#29).

Rebounding from falling out of the Top 10 is Jay Sean with "2012"; his song moves up to #10 this week. New Top 10 entries forced out Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" (#12) and Florence + The Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" (#19).

In certification news, Lady Gaga has gone Gold with "Alejandro", becoming the second ever Gold single (behind "All The Lovers"). Expected to go Gold next week are Katy Perry's "California Gurls" (#16) and Nicki Minaj's "Your Love" (#5).
