Swedish pop singer Robyn is moving swiftly with her music plans this year. Fresh off the UK Top 10 success of "Dancing On My Own", she is already readying the release of a new single, "Hang With Me".The song originally appeared as an acoustic version on Body Talk Pt. 1, but for her next album Body Talk Pt. 2, the song is getting a electropop makeover.
"Hang With Me" is a groovy synth-driven track which is a bit of a pick-me-up from "Dancing On My Own". Instead of being depressed on the dancefloor, she is making sure a would-be lover is ready to be with her. Among her numerous conditions, the most important is not to "fall recklessly, headlessly in love with her". It's fair, since she only wants to hang, after all.
Robyn sure has the rare ability of choosing singles that get me interested in the album. September can't get here fast enough (it's released on the 6th, by the way).
