Fifth Generation Pokemon Games Promise Enhanced 3D, New Battle Scenes, and (Of Course) New Pokemon

Japanese game magazine CoroCoro revealed the first concrete details about the fifth generation Pokemon games, Pokemon Black and White, this past weekend.

Just a month after the North American release of HeartGold and SoulSilver, small but significant information about the fifth generation games, due for Japanese release in the fall, have been revealed. The most intriguing of the details is the enhanced 3D graphics used for the games. In one of the pictures from the magazine, the cities are rendered in a way that is surprisingly more realistic than before, like this one:
Another new (and welcome) change is to the battle sequences. It appears that the Pokemon will finally being battling on a field where you can see both of them fully, as well as their surroundings. This can be seen in this picture of a battle between Zorua and Zoroark, the two new Pokemon introduced a few months ago:
More details on the game are supposed to be announced this coming week. There is no word when the other new Pokemon will be introduced.
