2009 saw the return of the feel-good pop record and the feisty pop minx.So it's no surprise that Ke$ha and her debut single "Tik Tok" would fall into her laps, just as the year comes to a close.
If Ke$ha sounds familiar, it's because she sang the hook on Flo Rida's number one hit "Right Round". Now, she's releasing her own music, leading off with "Tik Tok", which can only be described as the ultimate party record. In the song, she shares her love of beer, pedicures, and guys who look like Mick Jagger. In the vein of 3OH!3 and LMFAO, the song is mindless, drink-influenced, club pop, but the hook is really undeniable and the middle eight suggests that there might be something more to this girl's story.
Anyone looking for Ke$ha's artistic prowess may have to wait for her album (Animal, due January 4th), but for now, anyone looking for a good time should hit her up.
