Hello Anime Lovers!

As you may or may not know, the new Fullmetal Alchemist series is premiering this weekend in Japan. Fans all over the world are rejoicing, but its doubtful that those not living in Japan had an idea to actually see it (there are ways though, but it requires a bit of Googling).

There is a solution!

FUNimation, who brought the original Fullmetal series to North America and is also responsible for shows like Dragonball Z and One Piece, announced Friday that they will be providing high-quality streams of the Japanese episodes of the new series (with subtitles, of course). The stream will be available starting April 9th, four days after the original premiere. The company also announced that they have purchased the broadcast, digital, DVD, and merchandising rights to the series, fully titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. There is no date set for the the English-language release.

It's being reported that the new Fullmetal series will be a reboot of the extremely popular franchise, following the manga more closely this time around.

For those living in Japan (or those able to watch it in Japan), the series begins airing on MBS/TBS stations Sunday afternoon at 5 pm (about 4 am EST).
