Blame the damn Writer's Strike!
In a move that will surely pissed off Harry Potter fans across the globe, the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is being pushed back from its original November release.
Warner Bros. studio revealed yesterday that the movie has to be pushed to a release date of July 17th, 2009 to help anchor a near-dead movie season. The Writer's Strike left a hole in the summer schedule next year, and the Harry Potter films is one of the biggest franchises the studio has.
Sorry HP fans. You'll have to wait one more year before you can see the world's favorite wizard teen in his latest exploits.
