I have finally picked the second inductee into the Brandon Lewis Seal of Approval group.
Following the Jonas Brothers and their BWU Top 5 single "Burnin' Up" is Kid Rock and his new song "All Summer Long".
Just to clarify, this is not a Download of the Day, but I don't dissuade you from checking it out.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but I never thought much of Kid Rock. I always thought he was the patron saint of white trash, to speak frankly. I also have never been a fan of his music, and I have been avoiding "All Summer Long", his single from Rock N Roll Jesus, like the plague.
However, I finally heard the full version on Z100 on a bus ride home. I've gotta admit, its interesting. It samples Lynyrd Skynyrd's hit "Sweet Home Alabama" and Kid Rock sings about summer in Michigan, including "drinking whiskey from the bottle" and "making love by the lake". It's one of those songs where you can instantly relate by plugging in your own memories. I admit it, even I couldn't help turning the clock back while listening to the song.
I am not sure whether or not it'll be on my iPod, or whether it will be on the BWU chart, but it is definitely good enough for a BLSA induction.
