Chris Martin and friends should be popping open the corks tomorrow morning, when Billboard officially crowns "Viva La Vida" as a #1 single.
They revealed today that Coldplay's second single from the album Viva La Vida and Death and All His Friends topped the Hot 100 this week, making this their first ever US #1. Their highest-peaking single before was "Speed of Sound" at #8.
Considering that two versions of the single are in the iTunes Top 10 right now, they will likely hold onto that top spot for a second week.
