Hot 100 Update: Rihanna "Bow"s at Number One!

Rihanna, after a string of top 10 singles, scores her third #1 single with "Take a Bow". The Barbados singer's latest shot up from #53 after being released digitally. It sold over 266,000 copies, easily placing her at #1 on iTunes.

Rihanna's chart-topping pushes last week's Top 8 down one notch, including Leona Lewis, Lil' Wayne, Usher, Madonna, and Mariah Carey. Danity Kane's "Damaged" is the only other song to move into the Top 10 after weeks of hanging on the edge. It is Danity Kane's first Top 10 single since their debut "Show Stopper".

The "Hot Shot Debut" belongs to Coldpay, who charts at #15 with "Viva La Vida". "Viva" is the second single from Coldplay's upcoming album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. Their first single, "Violet Hill", charts at #40 this week, likely because many downloaded the song for free a week before its sale on Coldplay's website. "Viva" is Coldplay's second highest charting single on the Hot 100 behind "Speed of Sound", which hit #8 in 2005.
