According to the Nielsen Soundscan Building Sales, Madonna's much-anticipated new album Hard Candy will debut at #1 next week, but with rather paltry numbers. Her record is project a debut of 275-300k, less than her last album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which started off with 350,000. Mariah's album E=MC2, which was released last week, debuted at #1 with 463,000 copies. It remains at #1 this week.
Things can always change, but so far, it looks like Mariah has outdone Madonna on both the singles and album charts!
